Buddhism is a religion and philosophy encompassing a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices, largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as the Buddha (Pāli/Sanskrit "the awakened one"). The Buddha lived and taught in the northeastern Indian subcontinent some time between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE.[1] He is recognized by Buddhists as an awakened or enlightened teacher who shared his insights to help sentient beings end ignorance (avidyā) of dependent origination, thus escaping what is seen as a cycle of suffering and rebirth.
Four Noble Truths:
Existence in samsara is inseparable from suffering.
The cause of suffering is desire and lust for existence in samsara.
The cessation of suffering is through eradicating desire and lust for existence in samsara.
The path to the cessation of suffering is the Eight-fold Path.

Eight-fold Path:
Right view, which leads to:
Right thought, which leads to:
Right speech, which leads to:
Right conduct, which leads to:
Right livelihood, which leads to:
Right effort, which leads to:
Right mindfulness, which leads to:
Right concentration

Islam is the monotheistic religion articulated by the Qur’an, a text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Arabic: الله‎ Allāh), and by the teachings and normative example (called the Sunnah and composed of Hadith) of Muhammad, considered by them to be the last prophet of God. An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim. Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable and the purpose of existence is to worship God. Muslims also believe that Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith that was revealed at many times and places before, including through Abraham, Moses and Jesus, whom they consider prophets. Muslims maintain that previous messages and revelations have been partially changed or corrupted over time, but consider the Qur'an to be both the unaltered and the final revelation of God. Religious concepts and practices include the five pillars of Islam, which are basic concepts and obligatory acts of worship, and following Islamic law, which touches on virtually every aspect of life and society, providing guidance on multifarious topics from banking and welfare, to warfare and the environment.

Taoism is the underlying principle in all of Chinese culture. It is a system of thought that attempts to explain human existence in the Universe. It describes the natural interactions of Heaven and Earth upon Man, it attempts to give meaning to existence, and the study of Taoism allows us to find peace, truth and enlightenment.
It's origins extend back to the dawn of Chinese civilisation with the legendary Emperor Fu Hsi, more than 5,000 years ago, and has over the centuries grown and transformed to become a religion, a philosophy, a system of magic and a system of health practice. There is an incredible array of schools, sects and methods included in the world of Taoism, and despite the fact that they all teach with a different focus, none discounts the other.

In shamanism it is believed that part of the human soul is free to leave the body. The soul is the axis mundi, the center of the shamanic healing arts. Shamans change their state of consciousness allowing their free soul to travel and retrieve ancient wisdom and lost power.
Because a portion of the soul is free to leave the body it will do so when dreaming, or it will leave the body to protect itself from potentially damaging situations be they emotional or physical. In situations of trauma the soul piece may not return to the body on its own, and a shaman must intervene and return the soul essence.

According to christians :Christianity is a religion based upon the teachings and miracles of Jesus. Jesus is the Christ. The word "christ" means anointed one. Christ is not Jesus' last name. Jesus is the anointed one from God the Father who came to this world, fulfilled the Old Testament laws and prophecies, died on the cross, and rose from the dead physically. He performed many miracles which were recorded in the Gospels by the eyewitnesses. He is divine in nature as well as human. Thus, He has two natures and is worthy of worship and prayer.
Christianity teaches that there is only one God in all existence, that God made the universe, the Earth, and created Adam and Eve. God created man in His image. This does not mean that God has a body of flesh and bones. Image means the likeness of God's character, rationality, etc. Because we are made in the image of God, every person is worthy of respect and honor. Furthermore, this means that we did not evolve through random processes from a single-celled organism into rational, emotional beings.

God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden and gave them the freedom to choose between right and wrong. They chose to sin. Sin is doing that which is contrary to the nature and will of God. For example, God cannot lie; therefore, lying is sin. The sin of disobeying God that Adam and Eve committed resulted in them being expelled from the Garden of Eden as well as suffering the effects of death.

As a result of their sin, their children and all of us inherited a sinful nature. In other words, our offspring are not perfect in nature. Think about it. We don't have to teach children to be selfish or how to lie. They know how to do these things naturally. This shows that we are born in a fallen state.

Christianity teaches that God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not three Gods), that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead physically, and that all people are under the righteous judgment of God because all people have sinned against God. It teaches that Jesus is the only way to be saved from the coming judgment of God and that salvation is received by faith in the work of Christ on the cross and not by anything that we can do to please God.

Where all other religions in the world teach that we must do some sort of good in cooperation with God in order to achieve the right to be in God's presence, Christianity is the only religion that teaches salvation by grace. This means that we are not made right before God by our efforts, sincerity, or works. Instead, we are made right before God by faith in what Christ did on the cross.

Christianity further teaches that once a person is "born again" (becomes saved) that the Holy Spirit lives in that person and the person is changed: "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come," (2 Cor. 5:17). This means that God actually lives in the person and the Christian then experiences a true and living relationship with God.

Therefore, "What is Christianity?" is best answered by saying that it is a relationship with the true and living God through the person of Jesus Christ by whom we are forgiven of our sins and escape the righteous judgment of God.

Thank you dear James, I wish to add something if you don't mind.

Christianity, along with Judaism and Islam, is an Abrahamic religion, and began as a sect of Judaism.
Scriptures is the Bible, divided in two part, the Old Testament that essentially consisting of the Scriptures of 'Judaism, and the New Testament, composed of 27 works all composed predominantly by Christians in the first century CE. Among them are the basic four Gospels, that of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden because they disobeyed to do God eating the apple, which represents the knowledge of good and evil. Leaving in Eden meant to be without sin because they didn't know the Evil, eating the apple they gained knowledge and along with it the sin. Because of this they were expelled, and as it is said, from that day on women will give birth with pain and men "by the sweat of his face he shall eat bread".
Everyone after this inherit the original sin, that can be removed only with the Baptism. So also babies are born in sin.

It is said that Gesus was born from Mary because she was the only woman born without the original sin, and it is said that he was not son of a man, because if it was like this he would have been also born with the original sin, which is transmitted by the male seed.

The First Council of Nicaea was hold in 325, condemns the doctrines of Arius for whom Christ was not consubstantial with the Father. So after this Christ was called "Son og God"
The Council of Ephesus in 431 decreed that Christ was one person, not two (union of the two natures of Christ), and Mary gave birth not a man but to God as a man.
The Second Council of Constantinople (553) decreed that the virginity of Mary (or virgin birth, according to the narrative of the Gospels Mary conceived Jesus without sex but in a supernatural, through the work of Holy Spirit (not to be confused with the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, which states the immunity of the Virgin Mary from original sin).

The Holy Spirit is received by all Catholics through the sacrament of Confirmation.
For Christianity you can live in sins, but in the end if your deathbed you you repent and confess you will save your Soul.

The Latin Church, as well as the Eastern Churches, has developed the veneration of Mary is in the liturgy and in private devotion. In addition, Mary is seen as a model of imitation and she works as a mediator between God and humanity.
